As Room Leader, you’ll play a key role in guiding your team, inspiring curiosity in children, and ensuring every child in your room receives the highest quality care and education.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or experienced Nursery Practitioner.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to support and motivate your team.
  • Excellent understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
  • A proactive, caring approach and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead your room’s daily practice, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support, guide, and inspire your team to create a positive, nurturing environment.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual learning journeys.
  • Ensure your room is safe, stimulating, and inclusive for every child.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to uphold the nursery’s ethos and commitment to excellence.
