Role Overview
As Early Years Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of our after-school and holiday club, ensuring the highest standards of care, play and safeguarding. You’ll manage the early years children, oversee planning and delivery of bilingual activities, maintain compliance with Ofsted and EYFS requirements, and build strong relationships with parents, children and the school community.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone passionate about early years education, bilingual learning, and creating a fun, caring environment where children thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
Work with the club manager to support daily operations of the wraparound setting, ensuring a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Support and motivate a friendly team to deliver high-quality play and learning experiences.
Build strong relationships with families and children.
Curriculum and Quality
Deliver and evaluate play-based, bilingual (English/Spanish) activities aligned with EYFS principles.
Promote children’s development, wellbeing and independence through engaging, age-appropriate experiences.
Monitor and record children’s development and play in line with EYFS and setting policies.
Maintain a rich, language-based learning environment in keeping with LingoClub’s ethos.
Safeguarding and Compliance
Act as co-Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the setting.
Ensure all policies, procedures and statutory requirements (EYFS, Ofsted, Health & Safety, GDPR) are followed.
Keep accurate records of attendance, incidents, accidents and medication.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits.
Administration
Support the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
Prepare for Ofsted inspections and ensure ongoing readiness.
Essential Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education/Childcare, or a commitment to complete one.
English and Spanish speaker.
Experience and confidence working with children.
Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable
Designated Safeguarding Lead training.
Experience in wraparound or out-of-school provision.
Understanding of bilingual or language-based learning environments.
