Summary
Fixed term up to 25th October 2026 to cover Maternity Leave.
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Lecturer in Design (Maternity Cover) to join our dynamic design team at Wrexham University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in one or more of the following disciplines: Illustration, Comics, Graphic Design, or Animation. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, contributing to curriculum development, and integrating innovative and industry-relevant practices across our design programmes. You will actively engage with contemporary design methods, digital tools, and visual storytelling techniques, while fostering a stimulating and inclusive studio culture. The role also involves contributing to student recruitment, outreach, and promotional activities to enhance the visibility and reputation of our creative programmes. We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in design education or professional practice, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a commitment to nurturing creativity, innovation, and academic excellence.
