Circa £30,282.00 per annum (Full time)
Fixed Term contract until 28 February 2027
Loughborough, Leicestershire / Hybrid Working (3 days in the Lboro Office)
Youth Sport Trust exists to improve the lives of young people through the power of sport and play. We create, develop, and deliver programmes that improve wellbeing and help young people build vital life skills.
As an evidence-led charity, research is at the heart of everything we do. Our Research and Insight team positions us as the leading authority on youth sport, PE and physical activity, and we are now looking for an Evaluation & Research Officer to join the team. In this role you will help deliver our insight strategy by providing high quality research and evaluation support.
You will work closely with colleagues to monitor and evaluate our programmes, ensuring we can clearly evidence our reach and impact. You will design and deliver both qualitative and quantitative research, write research briefs and oversee the work of external research partners. You will also make sure results are shared in clear, engaging ways with internal teams and external stakeholders. Using logic models, you will help to ensure our measurement approaches are effective and that we collect robust impact data.
Your remit will also include monitoring and interpreting secondary research and data to strengthen our internal intelligence, driving learning and informing policy and advocacy. You will collect case studies and contribute to new research that supports our strategic goals.
We are looking for someone with strong project management skills and hands-on experience of primary research methods. You will have a track record of scoping, conducting, and managing evaluation and research projects. You’ll know how to design effective questionnaires, understand research ethics and data protection, and can present complex information clearly and accessibly.
As a member of the team, we guarantee you will feel very much part of our mission and will experience fun, challenge and fulfilment in your role. Our values underpin everything we do, and we pride ourselves on a work culture which fosters innovation, creativity and personal passion. Benefits include generous annual leave entitlement, health cash plan, employee assistance programme and volunteering days.
If you are excited by the prospect of supporting millions of young people across the country to enjoy the life-changing benefits of play and sport, we would like to hear from you. To apply please visit our careers page www.youthsporttrust.org/careers to complete an online application.
