- Installing and maintaining drainage systems, pipes, and other underground utilities.
- Laying foundations, kerbs, paving, and other groundwork structures.
- Operating and maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborating with team members and site supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.
Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- A valid CSCS Card (essential).
- Proven experience as a Groundworker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of groundwork techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and drawings.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work.
Day-to-Day Your typical day as a Groundworker will involve:
- Arriving on-site and participating in daily briefings to review tasks and safety protocols.
- Preparing the site for construction activities, including excavation and leveling.
