Summary

Trainee Mechanical Service Engineer – £27,750 to £32,500 + Van | Greenwich (Field based)

We’re looking for someone practical, curious and ready to learn. This role is perfect for someone with a mechanical background or qualification who wants to kick-start their career with a company that’s growing fast. You’ll be trained and mentored by experienced engineers who are some of the best in the district heat industry.

Who this suits

- Anyone with a mechanical or plumbing qualification
- Someone who’s studied or worked with hydraulics, engines, or plant maintenance
- People confident using tools and comfortable around mechanical systems
- Those who want to learn, get hands-on experience and grow long term

You’ll get full training and ongoing support to build your skills and confidence, even if you’ve never worked in renewables or district heat before.

What you’ll be doing

- Helping with planned maintenance on pumps, valves and plate heat exchangers
- Assisting with repairs, call outs and general plant work under supervision
- Learning how to fault find and safely isolate equipment
- Keeping records accurate and up to date on the system
- Working with a close-knit engineering team across various sites

What we’re looking for

- Full UK driving licence
- Mechanical mindset and strong work ethic
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communicator who can work well with others
- Reliable and organised, even when things get busy

What’s on offer

- £27,750 to £32,500 depending on experience
