Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

The GORSE Academies Trust is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Estates Officer to work as part of our central estates team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant management of our trust’s estates. Working as part of the central estates team, you will provide essential support in coordinating contractors, maintaining compliance records, and assisting with procurement processes.

This is a varied role that combines administration with problem-solving and communication. You will work closely with colleagues across our academies, as well as with suppliers and contractors, to help ensure that our buildings and facilities are well maintained, compliant, and fit for purpose.

Your responsibilities will include keeping accurate estates records, supporting the management of contracts, co-ordinating planned works, and contributing to sustainability initiatives. Through this work, you will help create and maintain safe, high-quality environments for staff and pupils across the trust.

Potential applicants should have:

• A minimum of GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Strong IT, literacy, and numeracy skills, with the ability to produce accurate records and documents.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work calmly under pressure.
• A proactive and flexible approach, with the willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Previous experience in administration, estates, facilities management, or contract coordination (desirable but not essential).
