Summary
Arcus FM are on the lookout for a dedicated Software Development Quality Assurance Engineer to lead our automated testing efforts, driving quality and reliability across our software products in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
As a vital member of our development team, you'll design, implement, and enhance scalable automated test frameworks. Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and project managers, you'll embed quality into every stage of our development lifecycle.
This hands-on role puts your expertise in automation and testing front and center - identifying risks, ensuring comprehensive coverage (including those tricky edge cases), and championing best QA practices.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain automated test suites: functional, integration, regression, and performance
- Define and implement robust test strategies and QA standards across projects
- Lead risk-based testing to safeguard critical workflows and edge cases
- Collaborate across teams to seamlessly integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (using tools like Selenium, Postman, AWS)
- Simulate real-world scenarios with data-driven tests
- Generate automated test reports to track quality metrics
- Document test cases and defects clearly to drive continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
- Proven autonomy and influence in shaping testing strategies
Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Postman)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, JavaScript)
- Experience working in CI/CD environments
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and data workflows
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proactive mindset for resolving quality challenges and fostering a QA culture
