Location: Raised in Bristol at the Greenway Centre
Salary: £29,848 per annum

At Raised In our approach centres on child-led learning through play, with a thoughtfully designed curriculum that nurtures curiosity and supports each child’s unique interests. From the baby room through to preschool, we focus on every stage of development—helping children grow in confidence and preparing them for their exciting next steps towards school. Our Greenway nursery offers a more relaxed feel than larger settings, with just 62 places. It’s housed in a beautifully refurbished old school building designed to inspire young minds—with large windows, high ceilings, and a light, welcoming atmosphere. The garden runs the full length of the nursery and looks out over Greenway Playing Field. Just beyond that lies Badocks Wood, where we regularly take children to explore and connect with nature. Located at the Greenway Centre in Southmead, the nursery is a short drive from Southmead Hospital and nearby areas including Filton, Patchway, Westbury-on-Trym, Henleaze, and Horfield. What about you? We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring Room Leader to step into a Senior Room Leader role—acting as third in charge and supporting both the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their Early Years career. If you're a qualified Early Years Practitioner, Educator or Teacher who brings energy, warmth and leadership to your work, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll play a key role in supporting the management team and helping the wider team to thrive. You’ll have (in line with Raised in Behaviours) The ability to contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, collaborative and supportive environment Children’s needs at the forefront of everything that you do A positive mindset, approaching tasks with a can-do-attitude A strong work ethic, setting a good example for others and supporting your team The want to make a difference, working in partnership positively with your team The want to be part of trying or suggesting new initiatives and ways of doing things High standards for yourself, team and the nursery A reflective mindset, open to feedback and ongoing self-improvement To apply for this role you’ll need a full and relevant Early Years qualification, such as: NNEB NVQ Level 3+ Diploma (Childcare & Education) BTEC (Childcare) QTS Foundation Degree or BA Hons in Early Years Education or Child Development Please note: The Level 3 Award in Early Years Education does not meet the DfE’s criteria for a “full and relevant” Level 3 qualification for staffing ratios in early years settings. You’ll also need: The right to work in the UK The ability to commute reliably to our St Pauls nursery (we’re especially keen to hear from candidates who live locally or can travel sustainably) If you hold an Early Years qualification awarded outside the UK, you’ll need to apply for an Early Years Statement from the Ecctis Early Years Service before we can process your application.
