Summary

Site Manager - Level 4
Grade 8, point 23 - 26 - £39,152 - £41,771
Hours of work: 37 hours per week full time with 24 days holiday
The role operates Monday to Friday working 8am – 4pm with some flexibility required to cover shifts for holiday and sickness cover.We are currently looking to appoint a Site Manager on a permanent basis for a January 2026 start.
The successful candidate will be a hardworking individual that has a positive and proactive approach to problem solving with strong leadership and management skills. This role will entail day to day management of the school site including responsibility for fire and security systems, health and safety and maintenance of the fabric of the building and grounds. The role will involve leading a team of Premises Officers and Cleaning staff.
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following skillset:
- The ability to generate pre-planned maintenance schedules for both internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge and skills in the following areas: COSHH, Fire Safety, Water Management – Legionella, Health and Safety at Work, Manual Handling, Working at Height, First Aid and Building Management Systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of premises and cleaning staff
- Competency to work independently using their own initiative
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving tasks
- Interpersonal skills to deal with contractors, staff, students and visitors
- IT competent with experience using Microsoft packages and compliance software
- Competent DIY skills
- Knowledge and ability to diagnose and identify appropriate contractors for works
- A positive and friendly approach
