Customer Service & Warehouse Operative

SN14 0ZE | £14 per hour | Flexible 8am-6pm | Monday - Friday | Full-Time Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Customer Service & Warehouse Operative to join a small, well-established UK-based e-commerce business.

This role is ideal for a flexible, proactive individual who is passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences while helping to keep the warehouse efficient and well-organised.

Key Duties:

Customer Service Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries via email and live chat.

  • Provide clear, friendly, and solution-focused support for order tracking, returns, and product information.

  • Identify recurring customer issues and suggest improvements to streamline service.

  • Work collaboratively with the team to continually improve the customer experience.

Warehouse Responsibilities:

  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for timely shipping.

  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Load and unload deliveries, ensuring products are handled with care.

  • Use a warehouse management system (e.g., Veeqo) to track stock and manage inventory levels.

  • Maintain an organised and tidy warehouse environment.

  • Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.

  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements:
  • Excellent written English, including grammar, tone, and clarity.

  • Previous e-commerce customer support experience (Shopify experience is a plus).

  • Prior warehouse experience with knowledge of order fulfilment processes.

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and tools.

  • Highly reliable and punctual.

  • Positive, calm attitude under pressure.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

  • Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and stocking goods.

  • Mechanical or construction knowledge is a bonus.

  • Flexibility to work within UK hours (8am-6pm) and overlap with core team schedule.
