Summary
General Builder
Temp to Perm Position (Saddleworth area, Oldham)
Location: Saddleworth, Oldham (occasional travel - fuel card or expenses covered)
Pay Rate: Negotiable (based on experience and quals)
Contract: 14 weeks on agency, with permanent position available after successful probation
About the Role:
F&R are working with a valued client to appoint a skilled and reliable General Builder to join their growing team. The role involves a wide range of construction tasks, with a focus on landscaping, groundwork, joinery, and brickwork. Their projects range from terraced house renovations through to large-scale commercial developments, offering plenty of variety and hands-on experience. You'll be working mainly in the Saddleworth and Oldham areas, with occasional travel further afield (all travel covered).
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out general building and site works to a high standard
- Performing groundwork and landscaping tasks (foundations, drainage, paving, etc.)
- Undertaking brickwork and blockwork as required
- Completing joinery and basic carpentry tasks
- Assisting with a variety of projects, from domestic renovations to commercial builds
- Working as part of a small, friendly team to deliver quality projects on time
- Occasionally travelling to other sites (travel expenses covered)
Requirements:
- Proven experience in general building or similar trades - MUST be able to reference
- Good understanding of site safety and working practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and OWN car/van
- Own tools are a basic requirement
