The Role
- We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled ESOL Lecturer to join our dedicated team. You will deliver engaging and effective English language programmes to learners aged 16+ from diverse backgrounds, helping them gain essential language, numeracy, digital, and vocational skills for life, work, or further study.
You will be expected to teach across a range of ESOL courses and contribute to the development of embedded curricula, while also supporting learners wider personal and academic development.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational subject.
- An approved English Language Specialist Teaching qualification (minimum CELTA / CertTESOL).
- Experience of teaching ESOL, preferably within a Further Education (FE) setting.
- The ability to deliver Numeracy (Entry to Level 1) or Essential Digital Skills/vocational content to ESOL learners.
- A recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. DET, PGCE), or a commitment to working towards it - with full support from the College.
- A willingness to teach one evening per week (up to 9.00pm).
- You will be an excellent communicator, a supportive and student-focused educator, and someone who values inclusivity and progression.
