About the Role

Long Term Futures are working with a highly regarded values-led primary school in Nottinghamshire to appoint a qualified and confident SENDCO.

This is a non-teaching leadership role, ideal for a SENDCO who wants to focus on driving inclusion and supporting staff without the responsibility of a class. You'll lead the school's SEND provision, coach teachers and ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.

The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos, strong leadership and commitment to evidence-based teaching.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop SEND provision across the school.
- Collaborate with the headteacher and leadership team to embed a culture of inclusion and high expectations.
- Coach and mentor teachers in adaptive and research-informed SEND strategies.
- Support staff in planning and delivering accessible, differentiated lessons.
- Liaise with families, external agencies and local authorities to coordinate pupil support.
- Monitor progress, ensure EHCP compliance and uphold statutory SEND duties.

About You

You'll be an organised, empathetic and proactive leader with a passion for inclusive education and the ability to work strategically across a school.

Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- NASENCO qualification / NPQ for SEND (NPQSEND)
- Experience as a SENDCO
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes and inclusive practice
- Proven ability to coach and support colleagues effectively

Why Join This School?
- Long term to permanent, full-time leadership position - no classroom teaching requirement
- Supportive leadership team and collaborative school culture
- "Good" Ofsted-rated school with a clear vision for inclusion
- Paid to scale from day one
- Immediate interviews and trial visits available
