Job Introduction
This job puts good food on the table.
As a Food ServiceAssistant at Sodexo inFerryfield House, you’ll play an important part in preparing andserving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery andwellbeing. You’ll also help maintain aclean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas.With a cheerfulattitude and great customer service, your presence can make a real differencein someone’s day. What you’ll do:
- Assist with the setup and deliver food for patient ward rounds
- Deliver friendly and welcoming service to colleagues, clients and customers
- Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and work areas to maintain hygiene standards, including walls up to 6ft
- Keep service and dining areas clean and tidy
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, hot water urns and bain marie trolley
- Assist with food prep
- Break down and clean stations at the end of meal service
- Transport waste to designated bins

- The ability to stay on your feet and work efficiently during busy service periods
