We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join our dedicated team in Burton-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with at least two years’ experience in residential children’s services who is committed to providing exceptional care and support to young people.
Key Responsibilities-
Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the home, ensuring smooth and effective service delivery.

Maintain the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding practices, and company policies.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of residential care workers to deliver person-centred care.

Oversee and review individual care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.

Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes positive outcomes.

Manage administrative duties including staff rotas, budgeting, and accurate record-keeping.

Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, professionals, and families to support holistic care.

Encourage professional development within the team and promote internal career progression opportunities.
Requirements-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a residential children’s home setting.

Proven leadership and management abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as required.

Relevant Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare (desirable – training support available for the right candidate).
