Hours:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

• Every second Friday night: Carer support for respite care.

• Half term and holidays are free.

Care assistant for Gentleman in His 30s

We're hiring a patient, kind, female support worker for a stable, one-to-one role. Your focus will be creating a calm, predictable environment for a gentleman who thrives on routine. Non-drivers welcome!

Who You'll Support

He has complex needs, but a gentle nature. He requires staff who speak softly and give him time.

• Medical: Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (severe epilepsy/multiple daily seizures), chronic constipation. Fast thinking is vital for seizure safety.

• Autism: Dislikes noise, touch, and change. Trust and routine are everything.

• Mobility: Uses a Zimmer frame due to a hip injury; needs careful support.

Your Key Impact

• Epilepsy Management: Observing and responding quickly during various seizures.

• Personal Care: Assisting with shaving, washing, and pad changes with dignity and patience (you must communicate and wait for consent).

• Safety & Comfort: Supporting mobility and assisting with chronic constipation (training provided).

We're Looking For

• Female Only: Genuine occupational requirement for intimate personal care (Equality Act 2010).

• Minimum 6 months experience.

• Deep understanding or experience with complex epilepsy and Autism.

• Quiet, patient, and highly reliable demeanor.
