Summary
About the role
We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our team as an Associate Professor of Medical Science at Peninsula Medical School in the University of Plymouth. We are excited to offer this opportunity to join a well established team of passionate individuals at an exciting time, when we are future focused and reimaging our School to meet the challenges of delivering medicine and health science curricula in the 21st Century. This is a non-clinical academic post within the Peninsula Medical School.
As an academic with a well established track record of working in teaching environments that prepare students for careers in the NHS, you will be prepared to use this experience to take on leadership roles and to teach across our undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, including Medicine, Diagnostic Radiography, Physician Associate and other Masters level postgraduate taught programmes. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic leader in higher education, able to teach a wide range of science subjects, lead aspects of our programmes, and line manage staff where required. We are seeking someone to join our team, which shares a common purpose: to be the best we can be.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
Due to the nature of the role, we are unable to accommodate working from home. You will be based in Plymouth, across the city centre campus, and our North campus (located close to Derriford hospital).
