Summary
School Senior IT Technician | Willingdon | Temporary | Starting ASAPThis school is looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Technician to join the school's support team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining and developing the IT systems, ensuring staff and students have reliable access to the technology they need for teaching and learning.Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to staff and students.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware including PCs, laptops, printers, and AV equipment.
- Support software installations, updates, and user account management.
- Monitor and maintain the school's network and internet connectivity.
- Assist with the setup of IT equipment for lessons, assemblies, and events.
- Ensure IT security and data protection protocols are followed.
- Keep accurate records of support requests and asset inventory.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in IT support (school experience desirable).
- Good working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Relevant IT qualifications.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
