Summary
Are you a passionate and skilled physiotherapist ready to specialise in paediatrics? We’re looking for a dynamic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
About the Role
This is a non-rotational post offering the opportunity to work autonomously with a varied and often complex paediatric caseload. You’ll assess, treat, and manage children with a wide range of conditions, using evidence-based practice to deliver high-quality care. You’ll also contribute to MDT clinics, service development, and departmental CPD activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Delivering physiotherapy assessments and treatments for paediatric patients.
• Creating tailored treatment plans using sound clinical reasoning.
• Collaborating with consultants, GPs, and acute/primary care providers.
• Participating in audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Supporting and educating MDT colleagues and students.
• Managing your own caseload and contributing to service planning.
Communication & Teamwork
You’ll be a confident communicator, able to liaise effectively across disciplines and with families. You’ll attend case conferences, write clinic letters, and ensure seamless onward referrals. Compassion and clarity are key—especially when delivering sensitive information.
Education & Development
We value growth. You’ll be encouraged to:
• Engage in in-service training.
• Take part in MDT learning sessions.
• Reflect on your practice and pursue continuous professional development.
Clinical Governance & Audit
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining high standards through:
• Clinical audits and service evaluations.
• Contributing to the annual quality and performance plans.
• Ensuring safe and effective use of physiotherapy equipment.
