Summary


We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Patient Services Assistant to join our specialist dementia and delirium ward. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and calming environment for patients experiencing cognitive challenges—supporting their dignity, comfort, and wellbeing every day.

This role is ideal for someone who values meaningful work and wants to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable patients and their families.

Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY. Remote interviews will not be available.

Please note - if you would like your application to be considered for secondment, you must secureagreementfrom your line manager beforehand that you can be released to undertake the role. 



The main duties of a PSA will include:
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control across the ward
• Supporting patients with meals, hydration, and non-clinical comfort needs
• Assisting with preparing bed spaces and communal areas
• Engaging with patients in a kind, respectful, and person-centred manner
• Working closely with nurses, healthcare assistants, and the wider team
• Helping create a calm and therapeutic environment for patients with dementia and delirium
