Our team perform keyholding services for council-owned buildings. Working closely with Cambridgeshire Police on incident management, other clients and partner agencies with the aim to make the areas of coverage safer for the public, while respecting their right to privacy and remaining objective.
Handling and dealing sensitively to members of the public who may be experiencing an emergency requiring tradespeople, this often requires a calm, compassionate but practical attitude to positively assist as required.
The role can be exciting and demanding at times during incidents and requires a calm professional approach to situations that can vary greatly.
When required, staff assist police and others to download data for potential evidence or prosecution purposes whilst adhering to the code of practice.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential. Successful candidates if not held will obtain and retain the necessary SIA CCTV licence for which training is provided and funded by HDC. Appropriate vetting including police vetting is required due to sensitive information sharing and use of police radio. On the job training for several months is then conducted for successful applicants.
