The Governors of the Hollies School are seeking to appoint 4 experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic and reliable Senior Teaching Assistants to work with pupils on the autism spectrum.
The Hollies School is a local authority primary special school for pupils with a statement of special educational needs. The pupils have a diagnosis of autism.
The posts are offered at 32.5 hours a week during term time. Holidays must be taken during school holiday periods.
The successful candidates will have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as a genuine commitment to the education and development of children on the Autism Spectrum.
In-house training will be offered to the successful candidates who should be enthusiastic and committed to working within a dedicated team that offers the highest possible standards of teaching and learning.
Experience of working in a primary school setting, knowledge of the Foundation Phase curriculum, the ability to work flexibly and a sense of humour is essential.
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
