Summary

Salary: Surrey & Sussex Pay Scale, Grade R1, Scale points 1-6, Full Time Equivalent Salary £24,506 - £26,122 per annum. Actual Pro-Rata Salary: £9,472.15 - £10,096.78 per annum
Location: Brantridge School, Staplefield Place, RH17 6EQ
Working Pattern: Term Time Only (39 working weeks) 2:45pm – 6:00pm, Monday to Thursday, 1:45pm – 5:00pm, Friday
Brantridge School is a specialist setting for boys aged 5 to 11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). Nestled in the Sussex Weald near Haywards Heath, the school is based in a beautifully adapted country manor house surrounded by expansive grounds, an ideal environment for learning and growth.

The Role:
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Facilities Domestic Cleaner to join our friendly site team. You will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the school, ensuring hygiene standards are consistently high for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities include:
• General cleaning of classrooms, therapy rooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal
areas
• Restocking supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Safe use of cleaning products and equipment, in line with COSHH regulations
• Reporting any maintenance or health and safety issues promptly
• Adhering to safeguarding and confidentiality procedures at all times
Key Requirements:
• Takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Is punctual, dependable, and trustworthy
• Has previous cleaning experience (desirable but not essential)
• Understands the importance of cleanliness in a school setting
• Is committed to the safeguarding of children and young people
