Student Support Mentor - Castlecroft area, Wolverhampton - Full Time

Alternative provision near Castlecroft and the wider Wolverhampton area has developed over the years to meet the needs of students who face barriers to mainstream education. These schools were established to offer safe, structured, and therapeutic environments for children dealing with behavioural challenges, mental health issues, or difficult personal circumstances.Supported by the City of Wolverhampton Council, alternative provision settings in the area focus on preventing exclusions, re-engaging learners, and preparing them for successful transitions-whether back into mainstream education, specialist settings, or post-16 pathways. About the RoleThis is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:00pm. Your day will be split between:Morning sessions: Supporting students academically and assisting teachers in the classroom.

  • Afternoon activities: Engaging students in a variety of extracurricular experiences such as football, kickboxing, arts and crafts, and community-based projects.
