LEARNING SUPPORT TEACHING ASSISTANT in the EYFS
Reports to: Class Teacher and SENDCo
Responsible for: Designated learning support for children in the EYFS.
Rate of pay: £13.69 per hour (Pro-rata) depending on experience and qualifications.
Term: Fixed Term (reviewed on a termly basis depending on need)
Days: Monday - Friday Term Time Only (38 weeks)
Hours: 8:15 am 3:45pm (minus 1-hour lunch)
Start Date: Monday 3 November 2025 (Dependant on a successfully cleared enhanced DBS check)
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strong candidate to join our team at Park Road Academy Primary School. This role is to support children with additional needs on 1:1 or small group basis. We are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual. This post is attached to the needs of the cohorts and will end if their needs change.
Job Requirements:
Experience of supporting a child on a 1:1 or children in a small group basis.
Experience of working with children with physical, communication and social needs.
Can carry out intimate care duties
Experience of delivering successful intervention programmes
Can use the EYFS framework to assess and evidence learning
Can maintain a safe and positive environment for all learners
Can plan, prepare and participate in a range of activities that promotes the child’s holistic development, including physical, intellectual, emotional needs and encourages social interaction between children.
Essential: Recognised Level 2 or 3 qualification or above in Early Years Childcare /Education plus at least 1-year experience in the EYFS.
