About the Role
Facilities Management are looking to appoint a Caretaker to work at Milnrow Parish Primary School, Milnrow, Rochdale.
Your working week is 37 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday and hours are operated on a split shift basis. Working hours are 6.30am -10am (Friday 6.30am-9.30am) and 2pm-6pm. This is a 52 week contract and holidays can be taken during school holidays subject to approval. Please note hours maybe subject to change dependent on the needs of the service. Overtime may be required on occasions and the appropriate rate will be paid.
The successful candidate will:
Responsible for maintaining an excellent standard of cleanliness of designated areas in the school and duties will include toilets and associated facilities against an agreed cleaning specification and good attention to detail.
- Good handy person skills
- Ability to work to tight timescales is essential and a flexible approach
- Be able to work independently using initiative and as part of a team
- Able to communicate clearly with and relate positively to all members of staff
- Knowledge of Health & Safety at work
- Ability to recognise the importance of ensuring a secure and safe environment
Experience is essential, although persons with skills appropriate and a willing attitude are invited to apply.
Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced DBS including a barred list check child workforce.
