As the Estimator you will work closely with the preconstruction team in the compilation and submission of winning tenders for a range of projects across various sectors.
Day to day duties:
- Arrange site inspections
- Provide accurate budgets/cost plans
- Provide detailed "take-off" and Bill of Quantities (BQ)
- Work on traditional Plan and Specification, Design and Build Contracts
- Obtain competitive prices for materials and sub-contract packages
- Oversee or complete quote analysis comparisons
- Check and amend rate/price build-ups where necessary
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as the Estimator with either a regional / national contractor
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
