Summary
The Best Connection are delighted to be recruiting for a Garden Labourer for one of our clients who specialise in Garden and Lawn care across Beds and Cambs. Candidates will work with as part of either a 2 person or 3 person crew and will need to travel to a base address before heading out to customers addresses to carry out general lawn care and garden care duties. This is a physical role that will involve working outside in all others so applicants must have some previous labouring/gardening/ experience as the role will involve manual handling and some heavy lifting.
Applicants must have their own transport to get to locations as the base address may vary.
Shift patterns: Monday - Friday start times will be from 07:30 - 17:00 hours but may vary depending on customer demand.
Pay rate: £14 per hour.
Responsibilities of the Garden Labourer:
- Carry out general garden duties, cutting lawns, hedges, shrubs and removal of garden waste.
- Assist with customer requests and requirements, answering queries and providing advice on garden care.
- Carry out general labouring with some landscaping if required including removal of soil, leaves and weeds.
- Report to the head gardener and carry out duties as required, following health and safety protocol at all times.
- Provide the highest standards of customer service as this role is customer facing and will involve working in private gardens.
Requirements of the Garden Labourer:
- Must have previous labouring/gardening experience
- Have own reliable transport and car to travel to base location
- Happy to work at several locations and travel in company van to customer addresses
- Have a friendly can-do attitude and be able to work on own initiative to carry out tasks to scheduled times.
