Summary

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Early Years teacher to join our local authority Early Years team. In your role as the Portage Quality and Inclusion Coordinator you will lead a team working across Cheshire East to support all Early Years children including those with SEND to access high quality early education in their local community. You will play a key role in the Early Years forum, allocating staff to settings, portage home visiting case load and supervision. Through the offer delivered by your team you will ensure that inclusion is the golden thread through all Early Years provision achieving the Best Start in Life Strategy objective of “Inclusive practice as standard practice”. You will ensure the work of your team improves outcomes for all early year’s children. You will also work closely with the family hubs start for life leads in each locality to develop and maintain universal and targeted inclusive practice within Family Hubs and coordinate the allocation of resources internally and across collaborative partnerships. You will be joining Cheshire East Local Authority at an exciting time to support us in developing our Best Start in Life local plan to improve the percentage of children that achieve a Good Level of Development (GLD) at the end of the foundation stage.
