Summary
Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust are currently recruiting for a Domestic Assistant based at Sterile
Services Decontamination Unit (SSDU).
x1 vacancy working 30 hours per week Tuesday - Friday 12pm-8pm
We are seeking motivated individuals to undertake a full range of domestic duties.

The post holder is responsible for carrying out specific cleaning and other related duties, following set procedure and standards to provide and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the department.
To perform domestic duties including:
• General cleaning.
• Isolation cleaning.
• High and low dusting.
• Wet and dry mopping.
• Clean toilets, baths and washbasins.
• Emptying clinical and general waste bins and placing bags in designated areas.
• Vacuum Cleaning.
• Scrubbing and buffing floors with mechanical machine.
• Using chemicals and cleaning equipment responsibly and within health and safety guidelines.
• Maintaining staff and public safety through appropriate use of warning signage whilst cleaning.
Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high standards of cleaning within the areas at SSDU.
• To clean specific areas in line with Trust policy and National Cleaning Standards.
• To provide a cleaning service in accordance with approved methods, standards and frequencies.
• To use cleaning equipment, machinery and cleaning materials once trained and ability to spot defects with machinery and report to the
Supervisor.
• Where required, undertake Bioquell Q50-HPV decontamination duties and be fully compliant with all methods and responsibilities of
using this system.
• To adopt a flexible approach when undertaking domestic duties.
