Your new opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Senior Support Worker to join our Quarriers Village Supported Living service, which has been developed to support 32 people. The people we support have a range of complex needs, and we assist them in their day-to-day lives to help them achieve their goals and ambitions. Each person has their own tenancy in converted flats located in the idyllic setting of Quarriers Village, Bridge of Weir.
We provide 24/7 support based on individual needs. Support hours vary from a few hours per day to full 24-hour assistance. Our well-established service is looking for passionate individuals who genuinely care about delivering person-centred care. This role is split 50% administrative duties and 50% hands-on support.
This is a permanent, full-time position offering 39 hours per week.
Working pattern
Some of the people we support require a few hours of support during the day to attend activities, appointments, and to assist with cooking, cleaning, and personal care. It is essential that the successful candidate is flexible to meet the varying needs of the people we support.
What you will need to bring to the role
Compassion and kindness to support people in their day-to-day lives
Enthusiasm and self-motivation
Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals
Excellent problem-solving skills and a drive for positive outcomes
Resilience, reliability, and excellent listening skills
Good IT and communication skills
Due to the remote location of the village, it is essential that candidates have a full driving licence and access to their own transport
