Hours: 40 hours per week - office hours, potential for hybrid working
Pay rate: £24.35 per hour
Your Time at Work
Providing Emergency Preparedness (EP) to a key National Infrastructure project requires the team to be trained to a high level, continuously developed to remain compliant with nuclear industry regulations.
All personnel associated with EP should suitably qualified and experienced (SQEP) to conduct their roles. The EP Training Advisor will be key to the success of this and will plan, develop and deliver training to support. The EP Training Advisor will be required to support a comprehensive in-house and on-site training function with the ability to advise on training from within the contract where feasible and practicable to do so.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the development of the current EDF Emergency Preparedness training requirements for the Emergency Control Centre (EmCC) and Tier 1 contractors.
- Conduct individual and team training needs analysis and identify training requirements across the team to ensure all personnel are fully trained
- Advise and assist in the development of contractor continuation and refresher training programmes
- Support the booking process for internal and external courses from planning to completion
- Support and deliver (as required) training to the site Emergency Preparedness Scheme ensuring best practices and current procedures are followed
- Support and advise contractors on their Emergency Scheme Exercise Programmes
- Develop individual training plans for identified personnel
- Provide evidential training data to support compliance
- Remain up to date with current training best practices and innovate to enhance
- Champion document control of Emergency Preparedness documentation and ensure they are up-to-date and relevant
- Liaise with external and internal agencies in the delivery of specific training

Educational Requirements/Qualifications:
- A good standard of education in Maths, English and IT
Specific Occupational Requirements:
- Ability to pass and hold National Security Clearance Vetting
- UK Driving License is essential
- Produce a five-year verifiable work history
Preferred Experience:
- A training professional with prior experience gained in a corporate, Critical National Infrastructure, Police or Military environment
- Experience in training, needs assessments and delivery
- Experience and a basic understanding of project management
- Thorough understanding of H&S requirements
- Experience in the delivery vocational and non-vocational training
Professional Qualifications/Memberships:
- Award in Education and Training Level 3 or PTLLS or DTTLS or higher (qualifications funded for the right candidate)
- Health and Safety Level 3 - IOSH Managing Safety or above
