Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Dental Nurse with an abundance of initiative, strong communication skills, and good written English. You’ll assist with clinical procedures, support administrative tasks, and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. A positive attitude, openness to learning, and a desire to grow within the role are essential. Trainee nurses are encouraged to apply—we’ll support your training and career development every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance, ensuring the correct instruments and materials are ready for each procedure.
- Maintain clinical areas, equipment, and instruments to the highest hygiene and safety standards.
- Handle substances safely and follow all health and safety protocols, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, and waste disposal.
- Accurately complete and maintain patient records, both written and digital.
- Assist with radiographs and laboratory requests, keeping accurate records.
- Monitor stock levels and help with ordering supplies.
- Support reception and administrative duties to ensure smooth patient communication and record-keeping.
- Attend practice meetings and training, including CPR and emergency procedures.
- Undertake other duties as needed for the efficient running of the practice, including occasional work across other practice locations.
Requirements:
- Good written and verbal English skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Organised, reliable, and proactive.
- Openness to feedback, learning new skills and developing professionally.
- Willingness to take on both clinical and administrative tasks.
- GDC registration preferred, but not essential for trainees.
- Familiarity with computers (desirable
