Summary
While the role is primarily clinically based, working alongside staff, there will be an expectation to undertake regular formal teaching both on induction and the Trust clinical skills days, including medicines management and preceptorship. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their own skills in delivering training and supporting work streams with a clinical practice educator. Provide education and support to facilitate and act as preceptors for students and new staff, monitoring their objectives and carrying out competency assessments. Co-ordinate clinical placements for undergraduate and postgraduate students and maintain accurate records of their attendance ready for reporting if needed. Ensuring excellent communication for all clinical placements stakeholders. The post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post, which may be assigned to them from time to time Take personal responsibility to maintain own continuous professional development and safe work practice. You will be required to demonstrate leadership and supervision of others carrying out all aspects of the caring process. In the absence of team leaders, you will be expected to deputise and take charge of the given area of your expertise.
