Mon - Fri 08.00 - 17.00 with 30 mins unpaid lunch break

Main Job Purpose:

The Security Engineer’s Assistant / General Driver will support our field engineers in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of security systems. This role will also involve the safe transportation of equipment, materials, and personnel to and from sites, assisting with manual tasks, and ensuring compliance with all company procedures and UK Health & Safety legislation.

Essential Requirements:

Full, clean UK driving licence.
Ability to tow a trailer safely and confidently (B+E licence category preferred).
Good practical and mechanical skills.
Physically fit, with the ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
Comfortable working at height and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Flexible approach to tasks and willingness to learn.
Desirable Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar engineering, construction, or driving support role.
Basic electrical or mechanical knowledge.
Current CSCS card or equivalent H&S certification.
Familiarity with security system installation processes.
Role accountabilities:

Assist Security Engineers with the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electronic security systems (CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, etc.).
Safely transport equipment, tools, and materials between company premises and client sites using company vehicles and trailers.
Load and unload vehicles, ensuring correct handling and securing of equipment.
Carry out general site support duties including cable routing, fixing, and equipment positioning under supervision.
Perform manual handling tasks in accordance with training and safety procedures.
Work safely at height using appropriate access equipment (ladders, platforms, MEWPs, etc.) as required.
Conduct pre-use vehicle and trailer checks, reporting any defects immediately.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of company vehicles and workshop areas.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and relevant UK Health & Safety and employment legislation.
Represent GBSG Security Ltd professionally when on client sites.
Undertake any other duties or tasks as may be reasonably required to meet the needs of the business.
