Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Team Manager to lead our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic direction and operational management, ensuring high-quality support for children and young people with SEND. You will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including educational staff, health professionals, and families, to promote inclusive practices and enhance the educational experience for our students. As the SEND Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs), ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and driving continuous improvement within the team. You will foster a positive and motivating environment that encourages professional development and teamwork among your staff. Your leadership will be critical in providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that the team effectively meets the diverse needs of our learners. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the SEND team, ensuring effective delivery of services and support for children and young people with SEND.
Develop, implement, and monitor individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and educational staff.
Oversee the assessment and identification process for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Ensure compliance with local and national policies and legislation relating to SEND.
Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities for team members.
Collaborate with educational institutions and other stakeholders to promote inclusive practices.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in special education, educational leadership, or related fields.
Significant experience in managing SEND services or teams within an educational setting.
Strong understanding of SEND legislation, guidelines, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
Proven leadership skills, with experience in staff management and development.
Ability to analyze data, use insights to inform strategies and improve practices.
Commitment to promoting inclusivity and equity in education for all learners.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
