About the Role
As a Housekeeper/Cleaner, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our care home, ensuring that our residents' living spaces are always in excellent condition. You’ll be working as part of a team, but also have the independence to manage your duties effectively.
Your daily tasks will include:
Cleaning rooms (residents’ rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, corridors) including furniture, fittings, and equipment.
Dusting, vacuuming, and mopping in designated areas.
Restocking toiletries, soaps, towels, and other essential items when necessary.
Emptying waste bins and ensuring all cleaning supplies are stocked and stored appropriately.
Shampooing and spot-cleaning floors as needed.
Maintaining high hygiene standards, including infection control and proper handling of cleaning chemicals (full training provided).
Reporting any stock shortages or issues to your line manager.
What We Are Looking For
A caring and reliable attitude: We need someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to helping create a positive environment for our residents.
Experience is a plus: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is ideal, but we will provide full training for the right candidate.
Strong communication skills: Must be comfortable with basic written and spoken English.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
