Summary
We are seeking a practical, hands-on individual with strong electrical and mechanical skills to maintain, repair, and manage equipment within the BUBS warehouse. The role also involves overseeing logistics operations — including vehicle loading, towing, and driver coordination — to ensure smooth delivery and collection of equipment to and from production sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs
Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment including trailers, bowsers, cables, and power tools.
Replace or repair plugs, seals, pipes, nuts, bolts, and other mechanical/electrical fittings.
Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for use on set.
Logistics & Vehicle Handling
Drive and tow trailers or flatbed trucks to transport equipment as required.
Load and unload kit safely using winches, straps, and mechanical aids.
Assist in on-site setup and breakdown for film and TV productions.
Inventory & Stock Management
Check equipment in and out using an iPad-based inventory system (RentKit).
Keep accurate digital records of items, repairs, and usage and report missing, damaged, or faulty equipment promptly.
Maintain an organised and safe warehouse environment.
Team Supervision
Coordinate and support the driver team to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
Monitor job schedules and communicate changes effectively.
Support the Operations Manager in ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics.
Skills & Experience Required:
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge (trailers, tools, fittings, wiring, etc.)
Experience using basic power tools and performing repairs safely.
Full UK driving licence (towing experience preferred).
Competent with iPads and digital stock management systems.
Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
