Hours: Monday to Friday | 37 hours per week
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential for extension)
Pay Rate: £12.36 per hour - Paid Weekly
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our public sector client, NPS Isle Of Wight (National Probation Service), for a Business Administrator to join their team on a full-time temporary basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected public service team and provide vital administrative support in the delivery of probation services.
About the Role
The Business Administrator will support probation staff and individuals on probation by ensuring all administrative processes run efficiently and in line with National Probation Service procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise, produce and maintain accurate records for area of work
Act as contact point for all communications to the team Prioritise and distribute communications to the appropriate person or relevant department in establishment
Input requisitions on to the finance database and process requisitions for defined area of work
Prepare paperwork for checking by manager, conducting initial checks as required
Correspond with relevant stakeholders and agencies to ensure that they are aware of information so that information is adequately shared
Maintain and check establishment databases, manual filing systems and logs of information, responding within agreed timescales and producing reports as required
Collate information relating to relevant Service Delivery Indicators (SDIs)
Act as secretary to meetings as required including organising agenda, taking, distributing minutes and action points.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Comfortable dealing with sensitive information and challenging behaviours
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
