Summary

Contract Supervisor

Location: Central London

Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pmm

Salary: £55,000 (negotiable)

The Role:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Contract Supervisor to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be a key link between the on-site team and management, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of facilities management services. You will be responsible for day-to-day supervision, technical support, and the operational delivery of services across a designated contract or portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the on-site maintenance team, ensuring all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks are completed to a high standard.

  • Health & Safety: Be a champion of health and safety, ensuring all work is conducted in strict accordance with company policies and UK legislation. You will oversee the completion of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) and ensure all Safe Systems of Work are followed.

  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical assistance and guidance to the engineering team. You will be expected to assist with fault-finding and complex maintenance tasks to ensure timely resolution.

  • Client & Contractor Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact for the client and building occupants. You will also oversee the activities of specialist subcontractors, ensuring their work meets contractual and quality standards.

  • Reporting & Administration: Ensure all job-related documentation, including digital logbooks and CAFM system entries, are accurate and up to date. Provide regular operational reports to the Contract Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Essential: Proven experience in a supervisory or senior engineer role within the facilities management or building services sector.

  • Essential: A recognised electrical or mechanical qualification (Level 3 NVQ diploma or equivalent).

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of M&E systems, HVAC, and building fabric.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
