Summary


Are you a qualified pharmacist with post-qualification hospital experience looking to expand your clinical skills in a supportive, forward-thinking team?

We’re recruiting aBand 6 or Band 7Clinical Pharmacist to join us at Prospect Park Hospital, Reading, for a 12-month maternity cover.

You’ll have experience in a hospital setting in mental health or community health pharmacy and there’ll be opportunity to broaden your clinical expertise across either or both areas.

Your role includes:

· Reviewing medicines and advising on treatment plans during ward rounds

· Supporting multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective use of medicines

· Helping patients understand their medicines and improve adherence

· Working with colleagues to improve prescribing and optimise patient care

You’ll be part of a CQC-rated Outstanding Trust, where staff feel valued, supported, and encouraged to pursue their professional interests.

You’ll be based mainly at Prospect Park Hospital, 30 minutes from London Paddington & Waterloo, with potential travel to our wards in Wokingham, West Berkshire Community Hospital, Slough, or Maidenhead. Free parking, a staff library, and excellent on-site facilities are available.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours/week however part-time from 30 hours/week can be considered. The role includes participation in late-duty and on-call rotas once established.

• Delivering a consistently high-quality clinical pharmacy service across community and mental health inpatient wards
• Working alongside the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT)
• Being an integral part of the pharmacy team providing clinical pharmacy support to designated ward/s
• Participating in the pharmacy departmental on call and late-night rotas once established in the role

The“must haves”for this role:
• Qualified Pharmacist (BPharm or MPharm) registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
• A flexible approach to work, in order to meet the needs of the service
