This is the first advert for this substantive post. We are an established team of 4 consultants, specialist nurses and physiotherapists, a senior clinical fellow and Deanery resident doctors, and a renowned Gait Laboratory. The serviceprovides an electivePaediatric Orthopaedic serviceto theOxford region,working closely with a multidisciplinary team, and developing the service further to support colleagues in regional hospitals across ThamesValley.We arelooking fora colleague who can help us towards buildingthis service further.

Thepost holder’sduties willbe basedat theNuffield Orthopaedic Centreand theChildren’s Hospital Oxford. It is a condition of the appointment that the post holder will be willing to work in any of OUH Trust’slocations and will have some regular clinical activity based at Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust (i.e. Stoke Mandeville and High Wycombe Hospitals).
Clinical
Thispostistojoin anenthusiastic andthriving clinical service,and to further developits regional clinical network. The position is available on a 10 PA job plan basis with 1:4on-call commitment, (with no trauma).



Objectivesofthepost

To provide a high quality secondary and tertiary paediatric orthopaedic service to the children and adolescents of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Thames Valley, and neighbouring counties.

Tosupportthemultidisciplinaryteam andparticipate inmultidisciplinarymeetings.

· To support and continue to develop clinical collaboration with otherpaediatricservices in Oxford and Buckinghamshire, especially where this may impact on paediatric orthopaedic provision.

· To develop further paediatric training in orthopaedics with support of Locally and Nationally appointed trainees and provide orthopaedic teaching for other undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.

TheNOTSSCaNDivisionisresponsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of services within their areas in line with Trust strategies, policies and procedures and contains severalClinical Directorates, each of which contain clinical service units covering specific areas of services.

The Directorates are led by Clinical Directors and supported by Operational Service Managers, Matronsand otherrelevantexperts.The Directorateshostservices on threehospital sites; TheJohn Radcliffe Hospital, The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and the Horton General Hospital, Banbury.
