About the Role
We're seeking a dedicated and professional Telecare Officer to join a team in Honiton. You'll play a key role in supporting vulnerable individuals by installing and maintaining life-enhancing telecare and alarm equipment in their homes.
Main Responsibilities
- Install alarm and telecare equipment for private service users.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site where possible.
- Carry out pre-arranged visits to check and update customer data.
- Conduct preventative maintenance visits.
- Actively promote and market the telecare service.
- Keep up to date with the latest telecare systems and best practices.
Skills & Experience Required
- Confident in demonstrating and explaining telecare equipment to a wide range of customers.
- Competent in using hand tools, including battery-powered drills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially under tight deadlines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Effective time management and flexibility.
- A caring, compassionate attitude with a commitment to supporting vulnerable people.
- Comfortable working at heights when required.
- Experience working with the general public and vulnerable adults.
