Summary

Electrical Shift Lead

Location: Central London - Liverpool Street

Salary: £58,000 - £60,000 per annum (Dependent on qualifications/experience)

Shift Pattern: Continental Shift (7am - 7pm - Days & Nights)

Environment: High-End, high rise tower, commercial Office Space

Are you a qualified and experienced Electrical shift lead looking for a leadership role on a flagship site?

Ideally a current HVAP shift lead, however this site will put you on your HVAP course after passing probation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out High Voltage (HV) switching operations, isolations, and the implementation of safe systems of work.

  • Issuing permits-to-work, switching schedules, and acting as the senior engineering authority on site.

  • Leading the shift team in responding to all plant failures, emergencies, and critical alarms.

  • Overseeing the completion of planned and reactive maintenance on critical plant, including UPS systems, generators, chillers, CRAC units, and building management systems (BMS).

  • Managing specialist sub-contractors and ensuring their full adherence to site health and safety procedures.

  • Maintaining detailed shift logs, producing incident reports, and ensuring a smooth and comprehensive handover to the incoming shift.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Shift Lead or Senior Engineer in a critical environment (e.g., corporate banking, data centre, large commercial building).

  • A recognised electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent).
