Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of Norton Free C of E Primary School are seeking a hardworking and committed HLTA to join our team on a permanent basis. The position will involve covering classes across the school from Foundation Stage to Year 6 at agreed times and supporting children in school with high needs (in a small group environment for part of the time). This is an excellent professional development opportunity which provides valuable teaching experience and the opportunity to have a real impact on the children at our school.
Norton Free C of E Primary School is a one-form entry school with approximately 211 pupils on roll, situated in the south west of the city. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a friendly and supportive staff team. Our children love to learn and enjoy school. We build strong relationships with our families and the community. We have a strong focus on Sport and wellbeing, with our values aligning with the values of the School Games.
We are looking for someone who:
• Plans and teaches high quality lessons across the curriculum, providing planned or emergency cover across the school
• Has enthusiasm and energy with an ability to inspire and enthuse all children so learning is a rich and enjoyable experience
• Is committed to making the most of opportunities to develop as an engaged professional
• Is a skilled and committed team player who can work closely with colleagues to support excellent outcomes for children
• Is excellent at building positive and caring relationships with children
• Is able to respond positively to the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
This role has arisen due to the retirement of the previous post holder.
