Further details about the role
Key Stage 2 & 3 Teacher
Full time
MPS/UPS
Woodfield Academy joined the Bordesley MAT from Easter 2022. We work closely with Trinity High School, Birchensale Middle School and Holyoaks First School in a very localised MAT focusing on the development of children in Redditch. Working together as part of the three-tier system we aspire to improve the educational offer for the local community.
Woodfield Academy sits at the heart of Redditch. The buildings and grounds are extensive and we are very lucky to learn in the buildings we have. We are well equipped with two Science labs, a designated technology block with cooking and resistant materials equipment, a library, a gym, a main hall with staging for performances, 2 ICT suites and a full size Astro-turf which is the envy of the local community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who enjoys the buzz of teaching and enjoys a varied timetable. This is a unique role to teach across a range of subjects in both KS2 and KS3. We understand that the middle school system will mean that a suitable applicant may need training in their least specialised key stage. The ability to teach English, Science and Humanities is preferable but experience in other subjects is also advantageous. We have specialist teachers for Music, Art, PE and DT but these may also need to be delivered depending on the responsibilities of teachers in these subjects. This really is a job for somebody to experience the full teaching spectrum and may suit a key stage specialist with a passion for teaching, or a KS2 teacher who would like to expand out into KS3. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of the Academy and to share the common goal of becoming a leading educational establishment within Worcestershire. All applicants need to share a united vision where wearing the badge with pride is essential and that being part of the Woodfield team is a privilege.
Closing date: Monday 20th October 2025, 12 noon.
Interview date: Week commencing Monday 20th October 2025.
