Summary

Equans is looking for a Senior Facilities Site Officer to join our team in Jack Hunt Academy, Bradwell Road , Peterborough, PE3 9PY on a permanent full time basis working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £31,973.00 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:

Monday - Friday 06:30am - 03:30pm / may change to suit business needs.

Working 1 weekend in every 4 weeks + on call for 7 days during that week.

1 hour unpaid break

Will need to cover late night shifts 1pm - 10pm for holiday/absence cover.

What will you deliver?

To provide a focal point within the schools and their environment for the resolution of facilities requests reported either on-site or through the dedicated facilities management helpdesk. To ensure the satisfactory completion of any assigned tasks including the supervisory control and co-ordination of on-site facilities services teams.

1. Actively co-ordinate and participate in the delivery of both hard and soft FM services
ensuring that the security of the schools is achieved in-relation to building opening and
closing. Apply relevant maintenance skills to any jobs as directed.
2. Co-ordinate requests raised through the facilities service helpdesk and other support
functions and plan, supervise and monitor works progress with the on-site facilities teams at
the schools.
3. Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standard and in-accordance with the
companies procedures and associated standards, for EQUANS and subcontract staff.
4. Manage the running of the facilities service department, ensuring all facilities staff are
monitored, assessed and motivated to achieve the required standard of service.
5. Undertake staff appraisals, and identify training / development needs for the facilities team,
in liaison with the Operations Manager and HR/Training department.
6. Maintain rosters to ensure that the facilities service is covered at all times.
7 Complete timesheets and overtime records for the Facilities Site Officers in liaison with the
Operations Manager.
8. Ensure a speedy response to on site emergencies that require a facilities service
attendance.

9. Undertake daily audits to ensure a continued high level of service delivery, and suggest
methods of improving the service on an ongoing basis.
10. To prepare and agree quotes as directed by the Operations Manager.
11. Provide estimates, site measurements and to maintain satisfactory, prompt and accurate
completion of any associated paperwork as required by the company.

Keep premises tidy and free of litter. Keep rubbish bins emptied, and keep car park,
entrances and grounds to building regularly swept and free of litter.
12. Co-ordinate the Facilities Site Officers and other FM resources to receive incoming goods
and ensure correct distribution in-conjunction with the school's administration.
13. Co-ordinate, plan and implement the correct moving of furniture/equipment/goods around
the sites as necessary.
15. To manage and participate in the provision of on call services covering a 24 hour / 7 day to
ensure consistent operation at the school.
16. To comply with the Company's Policies, Management Plans and Procedures
17. To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's
Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans
18. To support the Company's Quality Policy Statement and actively participate in the
achievement of Company and personal Quality objectives
19. Have an on going awareness of Health and Safety and follow procedures to ensure a safe
working environment.

For this role you must undergo DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

Who are we looking for?
  • Experience in a similar Senior role
  • Experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills to interact with staff, contractors, and management
  • A commitment to providing excellent service and maintaining a safe working environment
