Summary

Food Technology Teacher

Are you a passionate and inspiring Food Technology Teacher ready to make a real difference? Join our dynamic and supportive secondary school community in Croydon! We're looking for an enthusiastic educator to ignite a love for cooking, nutrition, and food science in our students.

The Role:

  • Inspire Practical Skills: Teach students essential culinary techniques, food hygiene, and safe working practices in our well-equipped kitchens
  • Promote Healthy Living: Educate students on nutrition, dietary needs, and the importance of healthy eating choices
  • Deliver a Rich Curriculum: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Drive Achievement: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the strong academic outcomes of the department
  • Contribute to School Life: Get involved in extra-curricular activities, such as school cooking clubs or inter-school competitions

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Food Technology up to GCSE level (A-Level experience is a bonus)
  • A genuine passion for Food Technology and its application in the real world
  • Excellent subject knowledge in food preparation, nutrition, food science, and ingredient sourcing
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • A committed team player with a willingness to contribute to the wider success of the school
