Job Description:

As aFood Service Assistantwith Sodexo at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, OX18 3LX. You'll play an important role in supporting military personnel on a Ministry of Defence (MOD) base. Your day-to-day interactions will directly impact the experience of those serving, ensuring they have a positive and efficient dining experience.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop your skills and complete any required training.

  • Maintain excellent client and customer relationships.

  • Keep work areas clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene standards.

  • Prepare and serve meals following recipes and portion guidelines.

  • Operate the till accurately and follow cash handling procedures.

  • Report any accidents, faults, or near misses to management.

  • Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and presentation standards are met.

  • Support with stock control, waste reduction, and general cleaning duties.

  • Follow opening and closing procedures and maintain site security.

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and clients.

  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.

What You’ll Need:

Essential:

  • Good verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working in a similar role within the service industry.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a military environment.

  • Level 1 Food Safety, HSWA, and COSHH certificates.
